Only the Chase FreedomSM credit card gives you triple points in your top 3 Everyday categories — there are 15 in all!
HOW IT WORKS
You'll earn 3 points for every $1 in eligible purchases made in the top three bonus categories where you spend the most. The bonus categories are: grocery stores, gas & convenience stores, quick service payment/fast food restaurants, telecommunications, cable/satellite TV/Internet service providers, video rentals, department stores, dry cleaners, drugstores, movie theatres, local and suburban commuter passenger transportation, pet supply stores and veterinary services, utilities, beauty salons and spas, and gym/recreation memberships. Following are additional details.
- You will earn 1 base point for each $1 of net purchases.
- Each billing cycle, in addition to the base reward you will also earn an additional 2 bonus points for each $1 of eligible net purchases made at merchant locations in the 3 bonus categories where you have spent the most. Retail establishments must classify their merchant location for Visa/MasterCard as one of the following bonus categories: grocery stores (that are not affiliated with or departments of superstores, warehouse clubs or discount stores), gas & convenience stores, quick service payment/fast food restaurants, telecommunications, cable/satellite TV/Internet service providers, video rentals, department stores, dry cleaners, drugstores, movie theatres, local and suburban commuter passenger transportation (including ferries, bridges, tolls, parking garages, taxis/limos), pet supply stores and veterinary services, utilities, beauty salons and spas, or gym/recreation memberships.
- When you reach $600 in spending in the bonus categories, you will only earn 1 base point for each additional $1 of net purchases in these categories. The top bonus categories earning 2 bonus points will vary monthly depending on your spending habits.
- Purchases not eligible to receive the 2 bonus points include, but are not limited to, purchases made at superstores, warehouse clubs and discount stores. Online and catalog purchases are not eligible to receive the bonus points unless the merchants have correctly identified and billed the transactions.
- We do not determine whether merchants correctly identify and bill transactions as being made in each particular category.
- We do reserve the right to determine which purchases qualify for the 2 bonus points.
- You do not earn points on balance transfers, cash advances, cash-like charges such as travelers checks, foreign currency, and money orders, any checks that are used to access your account, overdraft advances, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, or fees of any kind, including fees for products that protect or insure the balances of your account.
- There is no maximum amount of base points that can be earned on net purchases. Maximum bonus rebate accumulation per billing cycle on net purchases is 1,200 points monthly, which equates to $600 in net purchases.
- Travel awards are subject to program restrictions, including 21-day advance ticketing and Saturday night stay for air travel. A service fee of up to $25.00 may be charged for the use of Reward Headquarters services for redemption of air travel.
- There are other rewards terms and conditions; complete Rewards Program Rules and Regulations will be mailed after your account is established.
- Make a purchase of any amount.
- Chase will credit your account with 5,000 points.
- You can now redeem those 5,000 bonus points as a $50 statement credit.
